Happy New Year 2012

Hello all! Today is the second day of 2012 and I hope the new year so far has been a great one for you and yours and I hope this year will be one of the best ever for you.
I had been contemplating doing this for a while now and today while I had a little time on my hand watching some football games, I decided to bite the bullet.
With my job as a sports editor at the local newspaper here in Brewton, The Brewton Standard, I already do a lot of writing covering games and I have a sports blog on our website-www.brewtonstandard.com.
But I plan on updating and writing a blog on here as often as time allows.
I just wanted to start out the first blog by saying hello and until we meet again here elsewhere, have a great day and God bless!

    Very cool, Adam. I like the name, "The Robinson Report." Very slick. You'll find that maintaining a blog is easier than most people think. My blog gets about 15 minutes of my attention a day, but it's been up for almost two years now. I'm looking forward to reading yours.

Good morning! Welcome to day two and post two of The Robinson Report blog. I hope you all are doing well on this cold Tuesday morning. Well, it is back to work today for the first work day of the new year of 2012. I always joke with my wife Shari, who is a school teacher here in Brewton with the Brewton City School systems as she teaches Kindergarten. Although, I did not hear her say it this morning, after a long break like the Christmas and New Year's break she just got, usually she says something about not wanting to go back to work today. And I will kid her back with something like "well, if you would not take such a long break, it would not be so bad"! Ha! She knows I love her and am just messing with you. Well, what did you think of the bowl games yesterday? Two games (Georgia vs Michigan State and Ok. State vs Stanford) were lost/won in overtime after missed field goals. Our other children

There’s a photo on our fridge. 11 students: 6 girls. 5 boys. 1 student leader. My wife and myself. Anytime I go to that fridge whether to get something to drink or to eat…I see that picture. I do not post the picture in the blog for the privacy of those in the picture.  Some of those 11 are no longer with us. With us meaning, no more part of our youth group. I admit it hurts. I admit at times I have felt like a failure wondering if what I am doing is the right thing. I know they are just “kids”.  Ages 13-19. They have their own minds. Some are already made up. Some want to be there. Some are made to be there. You try to make it fun for them, but at the same time, you know…and hopefully they do too…that it’s not all about fun. Life is serious.
